L&R Group invests $30M in South Park site
April 6, 2016L&R Group’s plans to construct a “multi-level parking lot anchored by ground-floor retail” on Figueroa Corridor raises questions about the sustainability of transportation in Los Angeles. According to Donald Shoup, a Distinguished Professor of Urban Planning and parking expert, an abundance of parking can create traffic problems, limit density, and discourage people from commuting in more environmentally friendly ways.
