Research team develops ultra-high sensitivity nanoscale microwave detectors

Pedram Khalili, an adjunct assistant professor in the department of Electrical Engineering, co-authored a paper detailing a recent breakthrough in the development of microwave detectors-devices that can sense weak microwave signals used for mobile communications, radar, and other applications. According to Khalili, “emerging spintronic devices have the potential to transform the electronics industry, enabling dramatic improvements in energy efficiency and performance.”
