Gold Joins Metropolitan Water Board, Representing City of Los Angeles

Mark Gold is the newest addition to the board of directors of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. As Associate Vice Chancellor for Environment and Sustainability, Gold leads the university’s Sustainable LA Grand Challenge, which aims to achieve 100 percent local water supply and 100 percent renewable energy in Los Angeles County by 2050. He also works to increase interdisciplinary environmental research at the university and serves as an adjunct professor in the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability.
