Congratulations to Kelsey Martin, co-chair of the Depression Grand Challenge’s Leadership Council, for her appointment to the position of dean of David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. After completing her undergraduate degree at Harvard, Kelsey Martin served in the Peace Corps, which sparked her interest in medicine. Dr. Martin is a professor of biological chemistry and of psychiatry and biobehavioral sciences, as well as the principal investigator of a molecular neurobiology laboratory that studies memory. As dean of the David Geffen School of Medicine, Dr. Martin will provide a strategic vision to uphold the standards of the school and achieve tangible results.
