Nature’s beauty continues to inspire Osceola Ward, which is why he leads Outward Bounds trips for teens from urban communities.

Osceola Ward, a UCLA graduate student in Africana Studies, is teaching kids in the Los Angeles area about nature and environmental issues as part of his work with the Leaders in Sustainability certificate program. Ward hopes that by including high school students from Compton and Pasadena on Outward Bound Adventures, he will empower them to advocate for better conditions in their own neighborhoods.
