Student researchers are taking the helm as the Sustainable LA Grand Challenge prepares to release the energy section of this year’s environmental report card. The report card, which uses a number of indicators to assign Los Angeles a grade in environment and sustainability, was first released last year by UCLA’s Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. This year, the report will be released in three parts—energy, water, and ecosystem health—by the Sustainable LA Grand Challenge. The energy section has an expected release date of January 2017.
