Sustainable LA Grand Challenge Energy Research Symposium: Transitioning Los Angeles County to 100% Renewable Energy by 2050

On March 19, 2018, the Sustainable LA Grand Challenge (SLA GC) will host its third research symposium focusing on the goal of achieving 100% renewable energy through cutting-edge and interdisciplinary science, technology, and policy research at UCLA. This includes electrified transportation for Los Angeles County by 2050. The symposium is designed to connect faculty, researchers, city officials, community members, students, leading energy experts, and thought leaders.

SLA GC researchers will present their progress on:

– Expanding renewable energy generation, distribution and storage – highlighting both policy management and technical approaches.

– Ensuring energy system sustainability.

– Designing an integrated system for distribution and storage of renewable energy.

– Improving management of energy.
