UCLA researcher Richard Kaner wins Royal Society of Chemistry’s 2018 Centenary Award

Richard Kaner, a professor in chemistry and biochemistry, received the Royal Society of Chemistry’s 2018 Centenary Prize for his research on energy harnessing and storage.

The UCLA Sustainable LA Grand Challenge (SLA GC) congratulates Richard Kaner, professor of chemistry and biochemistry, and materials science and engineering, for receiving the Royal Society of Chemistry’s 2018 Centenary Prize in recognition for his “outstanding contributions to solid-state synthesis, energy storage materials and super hard materials.” Professor Kaner’s most recent work targets technological needs in local water infrastructure.
