Op-Ed: Mark Gold predicts that the LA region is likely to shift more towards local water in 2019

Mark Gold, associate vice-chancellor for environment and sustainability at UCLA and the leader of the Sustainable LA Grand Challenge, wrote an opinion piece published in the Los Angeles Times predicting that Los Angeles will likely become less dependent on imported water in 2019.  AVC Gold notes that his optimistic outlook is largely thanks to the passing of Measure W in November 2018. Measure W requires the city of Los Angeles to invest an estimated $300 million annually in water infrastructure projects.
