Sustainable LA Grand Challenge Undergraduate Research Scholars Program accepting applications for 2019-2020 academic year

The Sustainable LA Grand Challenge (SLA GC) Undergraduate Research Scholars Program (URSP) is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 school year. SLA GC-URSP is a year-long course that gives undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct sustainability research under the mentorship of faculty researchers. Undergraduate team research projects will contribute to the SLA GC goal of transitioning Los Angeles County to 100% renewable energy, 100% local water, and enhanced ecosystem health by 2050.

The SLA GC-URSP is open to students of all majors who will be in their second and third years in during 2019-2020 academic year. Fourth year students are encouraged to apply to be a Project Consultant for the course. The course is offered for two units each quarter of the three quarter commitment, with P/NP in the Fall and letter grades in the Winter and Spring quarters. Additionally, each student will register for two units of SRP99 each quarter (P/NP).

The deadline to apply is Sunday, June 30, 2019.
