In response to the enormous and immediate need for support during COVID-19, UCLA partnered with Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD initiative and Jack Dorsey’s Start Small fund to create an online COVID-19 Care Package. UCLA Depression Grand Challenge’s (DGC) self-guided website provides self-care strategies and exercises based on research-backed cognitive behavioral therapy principles to help people struggling with stress and anxiety brought on or worsened by the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The first installment of the COVID-19 Care Package includes five tips for coping with COVID-19 anxiety, stress and sadness and a video featuring DGC Co-Director, Michelle Craske. New materials will be posted over the next few weeks covering topics such as the following.
– Managing worries
– Maintaining a balanced news diet
– Creating order when you feel overwhelmed
– Finding balance when stretched too thin
– Managing anxiety with going back to work
– Recovering from stress and trauma
– Moving past regret from canceled plans
– Staying calm and managing fears
– Reducing loneliness and feelings of isolation
