Students and faculty of UCLA’s Laboratory for Environmental Narrative Strategies (LENS) reported and produced an upcoming documentary, “The New West and the Politics of the Environment,” with the public media channel KCET. It will air on September 29, 2020 as part of the series “Earth Focus.”

The documentary focuses on Nevada Senator Harry Reid’s work on sustainability. LENS also advised on three of the other episodes of “Earth Focus.”

“In a political season that’s as polarized as we’ve ever seen, we want to tell these stories showing that environmental politics are complicated and nuanced, and there are different paths being forged on the ground,” said Jon Christensen (LENS co-founder and member of the ULCA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability).
