Steve Hinshaw receives the Award for Distinguished Scientific Contributions from the American Psychological Association

The American Psychological Association (APA) honored Steve Hinshaw (UC Berkeley professor of psychology, UCSF professor of psychiatry, and Depression Grand Challenge Awareness & Hope Action & Research Team champion) with the 2020 Award for Distinguished Scientific Contributions during the virtual 2020 APA Awards on December 17, 2020.

The award serves to recognize psychologists who have made significant contributions to basic psychology research. His research includes exploration of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as reducing mental illness stigma.
