
UCLA was named as a leader in climate science research in a report released by the National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE) in November 2019 titled Climate Science Research in the United States and U.S. Territories: Survey of Scientific Publications from Selected Public Universities. NCSE examined 80 public universities focused on climate-related science across all 50 states during a five-year period between 2014 and 2018, during which UCLA contributed 247 papers on climate change impacts.
